You guessed it! We are back to some great books my kids and I read this week and we want to share with you! Tune in each week as I list different books I get from my local library.
Hey Al by Arthur Yorinks
This book is about being content instead of wanting more. The pictures are great and the concept is really neat! Great if you want your kids to really visualize and learn contentment. Is having more rest and a great place really better? Not if you get turned into a bird! 🙂 This book was great for all my kids.
Snow by Uri Shulevitz
If your kids have been begging for snow like mine have, this is a cute book to introduce to them. A boy says there is snow when he sees a flake but all the grownups tell him there isn’t snow or that it will probably melt. Eventually the whole town gets covered! This was a fun story that all my kids loved. 🙂
How We Crossed the West: The Adventures of Lewis and Clark by Rosalyn Schanzer
Great book with parts of the actual writings from the journals of Lewis and Clark. More for your older kids (my kindergartener was not as interested) and goes through their preparation, the tribes they met, how they got to the Pacific Ocean and how they came back! I liked a lot of the pictures and it helped us understand their journey as we have been studying frontiersmen at home and at our local Co-Op.
I had more but I need to move on with my day!
