I actually thought this was an interesting movie and makes you think “What is church? What are we all about? Who are we trying to help, ourselves or others?.” Michael W. Smith actually acts in this movie and those of you who don’t know who that is, he is a Christian music singer who has been around for years and many people know him. (I actually have a favorite Christmas CD done by him). It is a story about a man who grows up in a mega church and starts doing ministry and seeing what it is really like as he works with a pastor in the streets of a hard area. He learns a lot and realizes all his “stuff” is meaningless. I really enjoyed the perspective. Check it out. It’s worth it.
Yes, I watched this movie. Yes, it wasn’t the best movie but honestly, I like that she changes her attitude and changes at the end. I think it does make you think about how the people around you can influence you and that revenge is not the best thing. That real friends stick closer than a brother and will forgive you if you are truly sorry. I probably would not let my kids watch this one. For parents, there is some bad language, unmodest clothes, and some gay/lesbian things in there that might bother you. Just to let you know.
SO, here are a couple of movie reviews. I thought I better write this now.
Coming up this month will be the 25 Days of Christmas where I’ll share what the kids and I are doing to make this season special. Hopefully I’ll get some movie and book reviews in there as well. Hope you are having a great week and God Bless! Let it begin!
