So this year I am making some goals. This one is to get fit, starting with baby steps.
Today, all I need to do (and want you to do if you want to join me) is follow a video or workout routine.
I put a list of some videos that have worked for me, mostly because I didn’t know where to start when I started to look, and you may have no idea, either!
This first one only takes 10 minutes. So not too long where it should take you away from your kids. Sometimes a half hour or 50 minutes to an hour can take away from your family unless your kids join along, too! I know I let my kids do that sometimes. My daughter tries, at least!
Alisa Keeton from Revelation Wellness is one of my favorites. I love that it is okay if you can’t do all the moves at first. Don’t worry! She says the idea is just to keep moving and to try your best. You are still working out! This is a chair workout, which means you just need a chair. It does a pretty good job for the beginner.
If you would like to do a different type of exercise, such as one that kind of goes through walking, I suggest looking up Leslie Sansone
. She has Youtube videos that are excellent, and really all you have to do is a 1-mile part of her video and then the stretches if you are a newbie. The idea is to start! The video I have been doing here and there may be a bit too much for some of you who are just starting, but here it is (just to give you an idea)! It’s nice because it’s doable, compared to a crazy workout you are just not ready for.
Really, if you find something easier from Leslie Sansone, just keep doing her stuff, and you will definitely work up to this. I was introduced to her by a local church’s free workout session for women, which has been nice. 🙂 We have been doing the radio remix…I think that is what it is called.
One other suggestion, if you are hoping to actually run in the future, is to get the C25K app. It has been excellent. It means Couch Potato to 5K. When I first started it I used to hate the idea of running but with this program I thought I could actually do it (after I read Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire with God, Not Food, I thought I should at least try). This app is great. It “bings” when you need to jog and when you need to walk. It really helped me the most when I was first trying to find ANYTHING to help me exercise.
Okay! Hopefully you picked one, or grabbed your own, and did your exercise for today! Remember, I am doing this with you! Please comment below if you have done your exercise for today and what you used! Let’s encourage each other to a healthier year!
Be inspired today!
