I’m so glad we went. It has taken a long time for my family to establish a “family time/day”, but Sundays have become that day. And if we are able to really do an activity or grow together, that is the day to do it.
My husband works a lot so it is one time we don’t really do anything else. We go to church and then the afternoon is ours in how we see fit. Usually its me giving my husband ideas and on a later date him suggesting them. 🙂 Funny how married life works.
If you are able, try to establish a family fun day/time. Just a time to be together where nothing else coincides. Either at home or on an adventure to some place new. It gives you opportunities to talk and discover new things about each other. It gives you an opportunity, as a parent, to see where your kids are at and what they like and focus on. It also helps you see where your spouse is at, too.
